Worship

Worship at Westlake United Methodist Church is a blend of traditions and new approaches. We believe that worship is an opportunity for us to communicate with God and to explore our faith together through a variety of worship expressions.

Worship is held at 8:30 and 10:00 on Sunday mornings throughout the summer. Stop by for a visit at either or both services to see which one best fits your worship style. Families are welcomed and encouraged at both services.

Childcare is available in the Nursery during both services.

Please note that additional parking is available during worship at Frankie's Restaurant and Marriott Brighton Gardens (west of Glenmore).

  • Additional services are scheduled at holiday times, such as Easter and Christmas Eve.
  • Easter Sunrise Service is held at 7:25am, March 23rd at Evergreen Cemetery
  • Christmas Eve Worship Thursday, December 24th

    • 11pm - Candlelight Communion Service

Chancel ChoirChancel Choir is made up of singers grade 10 through adult and specializes in choral classics from all genre, both old and new. This choir is directed by Andy Call Rehearsals are held in the sanctuary on Thursday evenings at 7:30 PM.

This ensemble sings music from various cultures and traditions, singing occasionally in worship. Celebration Singers meets on Thursdays from 6:30 . 7:30pm in the sanctuary and is directed by Andy Call. Rehearsals are underway! Jubilation2009(small)The Chamber Ensemble is a select group of singers performing more challenging music and presenting occasionally in worship. All singers are also members of at least one other choir. In 2009, the Chamber Ensemble was named "Best Church Choir in Northeast Ohio" as winners of the WCLV/UCC Jubilation Choral Festival. Children's Choir provides an opportunity for young singers to develop their musical skills while praising God through song. This choir meets at 9:15am on Sunday mornings. The choirs begin the 2010 fall session on September 17th.

Handbell Choirs

Joyful Spirit is an open group of 12-15 ringers directed by Barb Siwik. This choir meets on the first and third Wednesday of each month. (September through May) New ringers are always welcome, regardless of experience.

Westlake United Methodist Church is pleased to offer a Performing Arts Series for our community to enjoy. The series features performances of excellence by some of the finest of amateur, collegiate, and professional musicians, as well as showcasing our own outstanding ensembles.
