The camels are coming, and we are preparing for our third outdoor live nativity Christmas production. Think about how you can help welcome the community to experience the birth of Jesus.
Go to our sign-up page HERE to sponsor a nativity animal, donate Christmas cookies, be a parking lot greeter, &/or help with setup and tear down.
If you are interested in speaking and non-speaking parts, contact Chris Neely at email@example.com, parts are filling fast. Every level of support is needed as we invite people who don’t have a church home to hear the Christmas story.
Rates for animal sponsorship are as follows: Camel $600, Steer $300, Donkey $300, Goats – $150 each
Please join the choir and guest instrumentalists for our Christmas Cantata on December 19th.
We will present “The Christmas Story” by Tom Fettke and Thomas Grassi.
This year’s Christmas Cantata features a blending of 13 familiar and less familiar Christmas carols from around the world which beautifully illustrates the story of the birth of Christ.
This year we once again ask that you donate to the WUMC Scholarship Fund. You can make your donation in remembrance or in honor of a loved one. On Christmas Eve we will post your name & those you are remembering or honoring.
Celebrating your loved one with this gift will assist with advancing the educational lives of our members in their pursuit of higher knowledge.
If you are interested, please complete the form HERE and send a check to Westlake UMC. Note the memo line of your check “Scholarship Donation”sign-ups will end on December 13.
Instead of (or in addition to) opening a door on an advent calendar, consider putting one food item in a box for each of the days leading up to Christmas. The box of needed items will be collected for the WUMC Food
Pantry serving Cleveland zip codes 44102 & 44111. Bring the items to the church on Christmas Eve or anytime through the first week of January. The church building is open M, T & Th from 9am-3pm.

As we prepare for the birth of Jesus, let’s get back to basics. Let’s recapture the beauty of simplicity. Let’s have music and presents and celebration, yes, but let’s focus on what’s most important. This year let’s have less stuff and less stress – and more hope, more peace, more joy, and more love.
Use the Less is More Poster and Devotional to center yourself and your celebrations.
Copies of the poster & devotional are available in the lobby and via the church’s Monday email.
