A free community meal is offered the 4th Wednesday of each month from 5:30-6:15pm. Please note the meal date may change around Thanksgiving, Christmas and Easter.

The next meal will be on Wednesday, May 27. The menu is Sloppy Joe on a bun, Potato Salad, Chips, Dessert

Those arriving for a meal should enter the  parking lot off of Center Ridge Rd. and  follow signs. Volunteers will bring the meal to your car. Exit to Glenmore Dr.

Near West Side Food Pantry Delivery Only

Provides twice-monthly doorstep delivery of food bags to the elderly and home bound income-eligible in zip codes 44102 and a limited area in 44111. Call to register at 440-871-3088 ext. 6.

LGBT Center Food Pantry Walk In

1st Friday of the month11am – 1pm. All are welcome! Open to the public for all those who are income-eligible. Register on arrival.

Westlake UMC Choice Food Pantry Drive Through

3rd Saturday of the month from 9:00 – 11:00 a.m. Open to income-eligible residents of Cuyahoga, Ashtabula, Geauga, Lake, Ashland, and Richland counties. Register on arrival.

Food Pantry Update.....

  • We now have five food pantries:
  • delivery to the near westside of Cleveland on the 2nd and 4th Mondays & Wednesdays (depending on address) of the month. Currently serving home bound and seniors only.
  • a walk-in pantry at the LGBT Center in Gordon Square on the first Friday of the month from 11:00-1:00 pm
  • a drive-up Choice pantry at Westlake UMC on the third Saturday of the month from 9:00-11:00 am for Cuyahoga County residents who are income eligible
  • a pantry in a senior housing building located at W70th on the 1st Tuesday of the month at 10 am
  • a pantry in a low-income housing building on Detroit on the 1st Wednesday of the month at 10 am
  • Our food pantry storage has expanded as our pantry has grown to rooms 105, 106, & 107
  • We have many dedicated volunteers to unload the Greater Cleveland Food Bank delivery truck twice a month and to bag food, now three times a month
  • We have three dedicated driving “teams” to deliver to over 90 homes twice a month to zip codes 44102 & 44111 (east of West 117th)
  • We have dedicated volunteers who work “behind the scenes” ordering the food, calling our clients, and inputting the monthly data and statistics
  • Volunteer bagging 2nd & 4th Mondays each month at 9:00am in room 105
  • We purchase the majority of food from the Greater Cleveland Food Bank for $2,000-3,000 a month and receive donations from our congregation
  • We are supported by your donations to WUMC Food Ministry, a generous grant from the Community West Foundation, and grants from the Greater Cleveland Food Bank
